JOHN CAMPHOUSE | INSTRUCTOR

John has 41 years’ experience in SAR, and got his start as a member of the Montrose Search and Rescue Team, one of eight volunteer SAR teams within Los Angeles County.  He currently works for the LA County Sheriff as a Rescue Deputy Sheriff.  Special qualifications include a Mine Rescue (MSHA) Instructor.

As a CMC Instructor, John covers the Rope Rescue Technician I/II, Tower Rescue, and Confined Space Rescue enrollment classes.  His  Contract Classes include Rope Access Work, Fire Academy Rope Rescue, and Tactical Rappelling.

When asked what John likes about teaching CMC classes, he said:  “Helping newcomers to the rescue world build sold foundational skill sets to be able to effect real work rescues.  Introducing new equipment and techniques to experienced rescuers.”

Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 (Rope Rescue) Technician Level Skills. Rope Rescue Technician III is an advanced rope rescue training for the serious professional.
Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 6 (Structural Collapse Rescue) Operations Level Skills. Structural Collapse Rescue is an intensive 24-hour class that provides hands-on training and real life scenarios allowing the student to gain confidence in a building a variety of shores.

Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 (Rope Rescue) Operations and Technician level skills. Rope Rescue Technician I/II provides an intensive 40-hour high-angle rescue class that teaches skills required by fire departments, mountain, and industrial rescue teams.
