CHRIS ROHDE

Chris Rohde is the Director of Training at the McHenry Township Fire Protection District located in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Chris has been in the Fire service since 1985.  Chris served with the Wauconda Fire District for 32 years as a career Firefighter Paramedic. Chris also served fulltime on the Gurnee and Lincolnwood Fire department before becoming a career Firefighter in Wauconda.  Chris has spent 7 years with the Nunda Rural Fire Protection District as a part time Training Officer. Chris has been serving with the McHenry Township Fire Protection District for the last 19 years. The last 4 years a full time Director of Training. Chris is an adjunct Fire Science Instructor at the College of McHenry College for the last 25 years. Chris has served as a Technical Search Manager on the Illinois Urban Search and Rescue Team for 15 years.  Chris has been serving for 30 years as Technical Rescue Team member and hold the leadership positions of Water Rescue Team Leader and Swift Water Coordinator for the MABAS 4 & 5 Specialized Response Teams which covers Lake and McHenry Counties in Northern Illinois.  Chris has been teach Swift Water Rescue through the Dive Rescue International for 12 years.
