CHRISTINA LOOMIS | ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
Christina Loomis is the Administrative Coordinator for the MABAS Divisions 4 & 5 Specialized Response Teams (SRT), a cooperative intergovernmental organization with 45 member fire departments/districts across northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. In this role, Christina is responsible for coordinating special team training, qualifications, equipment and resources for its teams which include Hazardous Materials, Mechanics, Technical Rescue (confined space, rope/high angle, structural collapse and trench), Water Rescue & Recovery (dive, sonar and swiftwater) and Wildland. Over the past six years, Christina has helped SRT organize and streamline its processes, update its standard operating guidelines, facilitate a long-term strategic planning process and develop educational and marketing tools to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization. Before joining SRT, Christina worked as a fire department analyst in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Christina holds a BA in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington, with a focus in local government management.
