JIM PELLITTERI

James Pellitteri is a battalion chief in the Gurnee (IL) Fire Department, and Swiftwater/Floodwater/Ice Rescue Instructor for Dive Rescue International.

BC James Pellitteri has served on the Gurnee Fire Department for 32 years. He currently serves as a Shift Commander and has served as the Training/Safety Officer for the 13 years. Has served in leadership roles for the Gurnee FD, Lake & McHenry County Technical Rescue Team, Dive, Swiftwater Teams, and IL USAR Task Force 1.

James also written articles for trade magazines. Has written curriculum for the fire service from basic to technical level skills… Has been instructing at fire academies’ focusing on Technical Rescue, Leadership, Basic FF Skills and Director of Rope Rescue Programs… Has travelled the nation and locally instructing Swiftwater and Floodwater Rescue…

James holds many certificates and licenses such as : Firefighting, Paramedic, Leadership, Instructor, Technical Rescue, Water Rescue, Hazmat, Fire Officer, Training Program Manager, Safety Officer, NIMS and so on …
