Justin has 20 years of experience in Fire Rescue/Technical Rescue, and got his start by teaching confined space rescue at his fire department, then teaching at LARRO at his local community college for the fire academy.  He worked at FEMA CATF-8 for 18 years before working at Oceanside Fire Department for the past 22 years.

Justin is a CA State Fire Marshal registered instructor for Low Angle Rope Rescue, Senior in Trench Rescue, Confined Space Rescue Awareness and Senior in Confined Space Rescue Technician, Rescue Systems 1.  He teaches Rope Rescue Technician I/II, Confined Space Rescue, and Trench Rescue classes for CMC.

When asked what Justin likes about teaching classes for CMC, he responded: “The data we can provide to the students is backed up by our testing.  We provide the ‘why’ behind a lot of questions.  All of the instructors have an incredible depth of rescue and institutional knowledge.”

Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 (Rope Rescue) Technician Level Skills. Rope Rescue Technician III is an advanced rope rescue training for the serious professional.
Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 6 (Structural Collapse Rescue) Operations Level Skills. Structural Collapse Rescue is an intensive 24-hour class that provides hands-on training and real life scenarios allowing the student to gain confidence in a building a variety of shores.

Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 (Rope Rescue) Operations and Technician level skills. Rope Rescue Technician I/II provides an intensive 40-hour high-angle rescue class that teaches skills required by fire departments, mountain, and industrial rescue teams.
