CAPTO PPE INSPECTION

The CAPTO should have a periodic inspection performed by a competent person at least once every 12 months, after any exceptional event(s), or if there is any doubt about the condition of the product. For each inspection, CMC recommends the Periodic PPE Inspection Form be completed, signed, and archived for the life of the product. In case of retirement, be sure to render the device useless before disposal to prevent further use.

Provided below are the CAPTO PPE inspection documents including the CAPTO Periodic PPE Inspection Procedure and Periodic PPE Inspection Form. These documents offer guidance for performing a detailed inspection of both the 11 mm CAPTO and 13 mm CAPTO, however, any mention of the CE mark or CE requirements is specific to the 11 mm CAPTO.
