FRANK MUNOZ

Frank Munoz

I’ve been with the fire service for over 15 years.  I started my career off in the wildland division and eventually worked my way into a full-time structural position with Northwest Fire District.  Since then, I’ve become a paramedic and spent about 10 years with the Special Operations Team. We are an all-hazards team that responds to Haz-mat, Confined space, trench, building collapse and both high angle and low-angle rope rescues.  I’ve found my passion with ropes and have obtained my SPRAT level one certification.  I hold a Bachelors degree in Homeland Security and my paramedic certification. I love sharing knowledge and experiences that hold value for the job we do, our mission at Northwest Fire is to save lives, protect property and care for our community.

I was born in Texas and later went on to be a United States Marine Corps Scout/Sniper.  My experience on the battlefield and the fire service has taught me a lot, above all one thing remains constant in any situation “Eliminate the variables”. The more opportunities we have and the more moving parts in any situation or system, the more that can go wrong.  Keep it simple and keep it safe.

I love spending time with my wife and son on the range and camping.  They keep me happy and motivated to accomplish what’s important.  My family comes first in this world, because they are my world.
