Kelly has 30 years’ experience in Fire Rescue and Technical Rescue, beginning his career as a volunteer high school cadet in 1992.  He has worked for the Washington D.C. Fire Department for 23 years, with the past 20 years assigned to Rescue Squad 2, where they are responsible for all technical rescue disciplines.  Kelly has has a strong love for rope rescue and firefighter escape.

Classes taught for CMC by Kelly include Rope Rescue Technician I/II, Arizona Vortex Workshop, Firefighter Escape.

Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 (Rope Rescue) Technician Level Skills. Rope Rescue Technician III is an advanced rope rescue training for the serious professional.
Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 6 (Structural Collapse Rescue) Operations Level Skills. Structural Collapse Rescue is an intensive 24-hour class that provides hands-on training and real life scenarios allowing the student to gain confidence in a building a variety of shores.

Covers NFPA 1006 Chapter 5 (Rope Rescue) Operations and Technician level skills. Rope Rescue Technician I/II provides an intensive 40-hour high-angle rescue class that teaches skills required by fire departments, mountain, and industrial rescue teams.
