By CMC

After much anticipation, behold, the grand prize winners of the CMC Rescue Photo Contest. A very big thank you to all who submitted photos and followed the contest. We had some great entries and a very tough decision!

Here’s what our grand prize winners will receive:

Though we were only able to award three grand prizes, some of the weekly winners, as well as our top three, may be featured in Catalog 128 coming out this spring!

First Place: Forrest Juarez

Submitted on behalf of Specialized Rescue, the first place, grand prize photo was part of a series featuring Rope Rescue Training in Carson City, Nevada with the team last May. It really shows the rigors of executing a rope rescue over challenging terrain!

Second Place: Chad Ryan

Submitted on behalf of Raven Rescue, Chad Ryan’s more creative approach to our photo contest, taken during a training exercise, displays a colorful array of hardware, including the Arizona Vortex, and natural surroundings. Sometimes the best part of the job is where you get to train!

Third Place: Mike Railsback

Mike’s compelling grand prize photo entry captures the precarious side of rope rescue/rope access, as the subject perfectly executes a rappel down a water tower. It’s a long way down!
